Christmas Chronicles 6 Piece Set
There's something about Christmas that takes us back. The smell of something baking, the glow of a fire, the excitement of guests wandring over and someone dressing up as Santa. It seemed more appreciated, didn't it?
When I started creating the Christmas Chronicles, I wanted each candle to tell a story. Not just smell like Christmas, but feel like Christmas.
It all began with Candy Cane, one of my original Healing Hollow Christmas blends, created over a decade ago and still a favourite today. Bringing it to life as a candle felt like the perfect place to start.
From there, I found myself drawn to the Christmas traditions and memories I've always loved, snowy trips to get a candy cane latte before chrismas shopping...
Reindeer Rum brings a little festive mischief and warmth to the season, while Figgy Pudding takes us back to old-fashioned Christmas kitchens filled with sweet, comforting aromas.
Pomander + Pine was inspired by wanting to read more about old traditions and these two inspired me; the beautiful tradition of decorating oranges with cloves, a simple Christmas custom that has been passed down for generations. Wassail + Wander celebrates the old-world tradition of gathering with neighbours, sharing warm spiced cider and spreading a little Christmas cheer.
And Fireside + Flannel might be the one that feels most like home to me. Inspired by our winters here in the Kootenays and Manitoba, with snow-covered trees, the scent of woodsmoke and the comfort of coming inside to a warm fire.
Each candle has been thoughtfully created and hand-poured in small batches, carrying a little piece of Healing Hollow's story along with it.
After more than 20 years of blending, I still find so much joy in creating something that brings comfort, sparks a memory or makes someone's home feel a little more special.
